Indiana University Natatorium,
Indianapolis, Indiana
Indiana University hosted an Endless Pool on their
pool deck at the USMS Short Course Championships April
22-25, 2004. The Endless Pool is now a permanent addition
to be used for training and stroke analysis.
Competing in the USMS Long Course Championships were
over 1500 swimmers from all over the world ranging in
ages from 19 to 94.
At the end of the meet over 350 participants took a
test swim and received a free video of their stroke.
We received tremendous feedback from all the swimmers
who were able to make adjustments to their stroke by
watching themselves in the mirror and the underwater
camera.
Two Olympic gold medallists Gary Hall Jr. and Rowdy
Gaines participated in several races, hushing the crowds
prior and sending everyone into a frenzy during the
race. Rowdy Gaines participated in the Men's relay for
35+ 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, with his team placing
first. Being an Endless Pool owner himself, Gaines stopped
by the Endless Pool to check out how the expo was going.
