On Screen: Ryan Reynolds in an Endless Pool

In the taut thriller Self/less, the Endless Pools® Performance model scored a featured role in a suitably high-tech environment.

The movie combines an intriguing premise with some spectacular action sequences for a slick, escapist summer entertainment! You can see an extended preview in this video. The Endless Pools installation pops up around the 1:17 mark.

In the film, a dying real estate mogul (Ben Kingsley) has his consciousness transferred into the body of a healthy, younger man (Ryan Reynolds) in a process that could potentially give him immortality. As the older man adapts to his new body, he uses the adjustable Endless Pools current to develop coordination and stamina. While the movie clearly fits into the science fiction genre, using Endless Pools technology for physical therapy and stroke training certainly qualifies as science fact!

Endless Pools has been developing its Hollywood resume for some years now. In Saving Mr. Banks, starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson, six off-screen Fastlane® Pro current systems created the raging river current from which a young girl saves her mother. And in the cult favorite Gattaca, starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, an Endless Pools Original model helps establish the swimming theme, which plays a key role throughout.

In both Gattaca and Self/less, filmmakers depict the technology of tomorrow by employing an existing Endless Pools model. We take that as a compliment!
