Starting at 3:58 AM on Friday, July 26, Jason Malick swam for over 14 hours, completing his 22.5 mile swim around Absecon Island at 6:06 PM.

Malick, a customer support specialist at Endless Pools, swam to raise support for the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation and honor his aunt Betsy Rabush, who died of cancer in March. The 10-year long-distance swimming veteran overcame a strong outgoing current that set him back when entering the bay.
The well-seasoned open-water swimmer trained regularly in an Endless Pool at company headquarters leading up to his big swim.
While raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer, Jason also hopes to revive the once-famous Around-the-Island Marathon Swim, which formerly attracted open water distance swimmers from around the world.
Jason, referred to as "a machine" by Stewart Rosen who trailed the swimmer in his charter boat, will take on a 15.1 mile swim around Cape May next before he prepares for some winter ice swims.
