Proud to Support LGBT Seniors

Endless Pools® Donates $10,000 to Community Elders

PHILADELPHIA - Endless Pools, a Delaware County-based aquatic fitness innovator, announced a donation of $10,000 to The Elder Initiative at William Way. The donation will be used to help the organization execute its mission of helping older adults in their community to have rights and opportunities to live vibrant, creative and mutually supportive lives.

Through Endless Pools’ Endless Access program, backed by their parent company, Masco Corporation, the 33-year-old company proudly contributes to programs that support diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Elder Initiative serves lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender seniors in Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley region.

Endless Pools donated $10,000 to the Elder Initiative at the William Way. The grant will help the non-profit to support LGBT seniors. As part of the Endless Access program, the company's gift helps fulfill our mission of promoting diversity and wellness.

“Our ethos at Endless Pools embraces diversity and wellness,” says the company’s General Manager, Darren Pearse. “The Elder Initiative at William Way shares our belief that wellness includes physical, mental, and financial dimensions. Their vision, like ours, celebrates and values the full spectrum of our community.

“While Pride Month serves as the impetus for this donation,” Pearse continues, “we’re committed to supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the year. We see this not as a short-term program, but as a foundational business imperative.”

"We are most grateful for Endless Pools' generous contribution to the Elder Initiative at William Way," said said Chris Bartlett, Executive Director of the William Way LGBT Community Center. "Endless Pools' investment in our work will translate into better health, resilience, and connectedness for the Delaware Valley's LGBT seniors.

"At a time when our seniors are emerging from isolation and disconnection associated with the COVID pandemic, Endless Pools' gift will help provide direct support to these community members who often are in great need."

The Elder Initiative at William Way was created in 2020 through the merger of the LGBT Elder Initiative and the William Way LGBT Community Center, both Philadelphia-based nonprofit organizations.

The past 15 months have been a time of financial insecurity across the nonprofit sector. The donation to the Elder Initiative helps to maintain their advocacy for services and resources that are competent, culturally sensitive, inclusive and responsive to the needs of LGBT elders in the Delaware Valley and beyond.
