Strength Training with Mike Singletary

Over Mike Singletary's 12-year career he
started 172 games, played in 10 straight pro
bowls and made 1,488 tackles. All that success in the
National Football League has resulted in a lot of sore
muscles though.
As one of our celebrity Endless Pool owners, Mike uses his pool for strength training and
low impact therapy on his joints and muscles. "People
don't realize the amount of impact a professional football
player takes. The Endless Pool has been a lifesaver
for me. The time I save alone has made the Endless Pool
one of my best purchases," says Singletary.
Water
has 11 to 13 times greater resistance than air and it increases strength and endurance. The Endless
Pool's warm water also promotes circulation and mobility.
Aquatic exercise was a perfect fit for what ails Mike.
An Endless Pool owner since 1999, Mike realizes its importance to his weekly routine.
"I spend at least 4 hours a week in my pool."
Retiring from the NFL hasn't caught Mike sitting down
though. He keeps a busy schedule public speaking and
writing books. He also dedicates a lot of time to being
a full time Dad and husband. "The most important
thing for me now is being with my family. The Endless
Pool enables me to exercise when I want, on my own schedule,
so I can spend more time with them." Whether you're
a professional athlete or not, water exercise with the
Endless Pool pays dividends.
