St.
Davids, PA: July 9, 2001--Do you ever feel like you're
moving and moving, but never get anywhere? That's
the idea behind a product a Delaware County company
invented. You put a high-tech pool in a small space,
and while you swim, the water moves but you don't.
Up on the roof of the garage, a little pool goes
a long way. That's because it's an Endless Pool, built
to fit in a small space. With five young kids at home,
Jennie O'Neill likes it that way.
The swimming pool does come with an easy-to-use cover,
but it's main feature is its current. A motorized
system creates a flow of water so you swim against
it. Some say it's like a swimmer's treadmill.
Tri-athletes who swim in open water say there's nothing
like it for training. Action News' Cecily Tynan tried
it, and she says it gives you a great workout in very
little space.
The walls of the pool are designed to absorb the
wave energy so there are no cross-currents.
But you can do more than just swim in an Endless
Pool. Many owners build a whole exercise routine.
