How is the spa series different from the Original Endless Pool?
Our spas come as a single-shell acrylic vessel that is pre-plumbed, pre-wired and does not require assembly. The Original Endless Pool features a modular system that can fit through standard doorways for installation in existing spaces.
How much do your spas cost?
We have 4 different spa models starting at $15,900. Call our Design Representatives at 866-558-7946 for pricing on all our products.
How easy is it to install an Endless Pool Spa?
All Endless Pool Spas come pre-plumbed, pre-wired and ready to use. All you need to do is fill it with water and hook up the electricity. Should you require help with this or if you need to prepare the site we have a nationwide network of Factory Trained Installers who are available to install your spa. If you are handy you can do it yourself. For more details call our design representatives at 866-558-7946.
Where can I install an Endless Pool Spa?
An Endless Pool Spa can be installed indoors or outside. Outdoor spaces are particularly suitable as the Spa is placed in position and you can be swimming that day. Indoor installations in existing spaces are possible if you have a large opening such as a garage door or a large patio door. Alternatively, the Spa can be installed in virtually any room with new construction. Our Spas can be installed fully above ground, partially in-ground or fully in-ground.
Can I try a pool before I buy?
Yes. Although our pools are shipped factory direct worldwide, we have a network of demonstrator pools where you can try an Endless Pool. If you would like to take a swim please contact our design department at 866-558-7946.
How much does it cost to operate?
The ability to enjoy all the benefits of warm water year-round, at low cost, is one of the real advantages of an Endless Pool. The operating costs are about the same as for a hot tub. Costs can be controlled by utilizing the appropriate level of insulation for your geographic location, maintaining an ambient temperature in the pool room, and keeping the pool covered when not in use, etc.
What maintenance is required?
Unlike a traditional pool, an Endless Pool Spa requires very little maintenance, on average a few minutes each week to test the water and add some regular household bleach. Also, the Endless Pool cartridge filter needs to be replaced every three to six months, depending upon pool use. The Spa uses an ultraviolet water purifier to reduce the amount of chemicals needed to maintain sparkling clear water.
What about humidity for indoor installations?
Humidity is always a concern when you bring a body of water indoors. Because the Endless Pool is small in size, it is easy to control humidity by keeping the pool covered when not in use. A floating blanket which can control about 90% of the humidity is included as standard equipment. The optional Retractable Security Cover can control 100% of the humidity when in place. Does the Endless Pool really work?
It really works! You really can swim or exercise in place against a current set at a speed you select, for as long as you like. No more trips to a membership pool. Imagine the convenience of being able to swim in the privacy, comfort and safety of your home anytime day or night. Because the current holds you in place, you never reach the end of your Endless Pool. This unique swim-in-place feature allows the Endless Pool to be much smaller than a conventional pool, while providing all of the benefits of a full-size pool. The Endless Pool is so carefree it even maintains your favorite water temperature automatically!
Is it difficult to keep the pool clean?
The Endless Pool uses an ultraviolet water purifier to help sanitize the pool water. This system uses ultraviolet light to destroy bacteria, viruses and algae. You must still use a small amount of chlorine to oxidize the contaminants. In most installations, a cup or less of unscented household bleach after each swim is sufficient. This amount of chlorine is substantially less than the amount needed in a typical chlorinated pool.
How fast is the current?
The current can go as slow or as fast as you want with the touch of a button. At top speed, the equivalent swim would be 1:08/100 yards or a mile without turns in 20 minutes. We should emphasize that the spa is primarily a constant swimming machine, not a sprint machine. Because you never reach the end of an Endless Pool and you are swimming against a current, the swim tends to be "more concentrated" than in still water because you swim at a constant pace.
How often do I have to change the pool water?
The Endless Pool is filled with a garden hose. The water is changed every one to two years, depending upon use.
Is there architect and designer support from Endless Pools?
Our in-house staff of Architects, professional designers and engineers are available to help plan the pool of your dreams. If you can take a photo of your proposed pool site, we can send you an "After" photo with a pool superimposed on your photo. We can even provide a drawing of your proposed pool in AutoCAD or as a PDF.
Can I do water aerobics?
Yes, all Endless Pool Spas are excellent for aquatic exercise and users can vary the water depth from 49" to 51". Spas with our Integrated Treadmill have two levels, the standard depth at the rear of the spa (49"-51") and the area with the treadmill (45"-47"). The 17' Spa features the largest exercise area of all our spas..
How does the Endless Pool compare to a lap pool?
Personal lap pools are usually one lane wide, about 3'-6' deep and usually require a 50' to 75' length to satisfy most serious swimmers. The Endless Pool takes up much less space, is simpler to install (particularly indoors), easier to maintain and more economical to run than a traditional lap pool.
Is it hard to swim in the Endless Pool?
It usually takes only a few seconds to learn how to swim "against the current." Most first-time swimmers are so thrilled by seeing how easy it is that they pop up and say with a big smile, "this thing really works!"
What sizes are available?
The Endless Pool Spa Series consists of 4 models. Our 10' exercise spa is the smallest spa and can fit into surprisingly snug locations. The 15' Spa allows you to add our Endless Pool Swim Current for swimming, while our 17' model provides a larger exercise area. For exercise, swimming and relaxation our 19' Dual Temperature Spa features a 14' spa with a separately controlled 4 person hot tub.
How does the swim current operate?
The swim current is generated by a 16" propeller inside a protective acrylic case that is driven by a hydraulic motor. The current is totally adjustable in speed from zero to a racer's pace. The Endless Pool current is much superior to currents generated by jets or paddle wheels. The Endless Pool propulsion unit can move a huge amount of water - up to 5,000 gallons a minute - under low pressure from a large opening (21"x16") producing a river-like current.
Can I get trapped in the current?
The current of the Endless Pool is confined to the center of the pool. If you want to get out of the current, all you have to do is take one step sideways out of the current into calm water. The pool has been tested by NSF and is VGB 2008 compliant.
