Endless Pools Equipment Noise

Placing the equipment in a separate room and insulating the equipment area can help reduce equipment noise. |
|
There are two sources of sound from the Endless
Pool: The Hydraulic Power Unit and Water Quality
System pump. If you are concerned about the noise level
and want to minimize the sound, we offer some recommendations
below.
The Power Unit only emits sound when it generates the
current. When the current is running, if the power unit
is not enclosed, it makes about the same noise as a
vacuum cleaner. When the power unit is located inside
a simple box or utility closet, the sound is reduced
to the level of a room air conditioner.
The Power Unit and Water Quality System pump can be located as far as
75 feet away from the pool to minimize noise.
The Water Quality System pump is the other source of noise. It typically
operates 6 to 8 hours a day, and comes with a 24-hour
timer. It can also be enclosed to minimize the sound.
The Water Quality System pump timer can be set to
operate when its hum is least noticeable, i.e., midday,
early morning or late night. It can also be enclosed
to reduce the pump noise to about the level of a refrigerator.
