Endless Pools Floor Systems

Many of our customers use a concrete slab for the
floor of their Endless Pool. Concrete is widely available,
easy to work with and very stable. An existing slab
such as a basement floor or patio is ideal. However,
there are times when concrete isn’t a viable option
due to site conditions or budget. These conditions might
also make pouring concrete very expensive. Endless Pools
has developed a number of alternatives that either eliminate
the need for concrete or reduce the amount of concrete
work required.

Stainless
Steel Formwork for Deeper Area
The Endless Pool Stainless Steel Formwork eliminates
the need to build and then strip out wood forms when
pouring concrete and allows both floor levels to be
poured at the same time; eliminating the cost associated
with a second concrete pour. The Stainless Steel Formwork
is factory-built to specific dimensions allowing for
a more precise deeper area. While most commonly used
outdoors, the Stainless Steel Formwork can be used indoors.
The formwork is delivered with your pool as a kit of
parts, which are assembled on site. |

Wood
Platform for Deeper Area
A Wood Platform allows you to add a deeper area to
your Endless Pool without the need to excavate. This
provides an inexpensive and easy way to add a deeper
area to an existing room with adequate ceiling height.
While most commonly used in indoor installations, a
wood platform can also be used in outdoor installations.
The maximum water depth that can be achieved with a
wood platform is 52” (13” deeper area).
Many customers choose this option and add a deck to
make the pool look partially in ground. A more complete
description of a Wood Platform is available by viewing
the Deeper Animation on our DVD. Endless Pools offers
an optional Wood Platform Hardware Kit and complete
construction specifications for customers interested
in this type of pool floor. |

Endless Pools Stainless Steel Floor
Systems Appropriate for applications where your pool is above
ground or partially in ground up to 24”. If you
are planning for a deeper area, this area must be excavated
and backfilled for proper structural support. The optional
stainless steel floor system provides a simple, cost
effective alternative to the poured concrete floor system.
This is an appropriate alternative if access to your
pool is a problem for concrete trucks or the distance
too great to haul concrete. Built to fit your specific
pool size, the stainless steel floor system can be used
for flat bottom or deeper pools. This system has been
engineered to withstand the weight of the pool when
installed on properly compacted earth. Factory made
they are more precise than poured concrete. The 1 1/2"
foam backing provides added insulation for your pool.
Minimal excavation is needed for above ground or partially
in-ground pools, making this the ideal solution for
a speedy installation. It is delivered with your pool
as a kit of parts, which are assembled on site. With
either of these systems proper soil compaction is essential. |
