Electrical considerations

The Hydraulic Power Unit should be installed
away from the Fastlane Swim Unit, typically near other pool equipment. The Power Unit
requires a 220-volt, 30-amp GFCI electrical service. Recommended
locations include a garage, basement or shed with existing
electrical service or next to your pool equipment.
The Hydraulic Power Unit should be elevated from the ground and installed on a flat, level
surface. If the unit is installed
outdoors, we recommend purchasing our Outdoor Power Unit with Weather Guard to protect it from the everyday elements.
Once the Power Unit is in place, have your electrician connect
it to your electric service. Attach the hydraulic hoses using
a crescent wrench and fill the reservoir with the 5 gallons
of non-food grade, biodegradable vegetable oil provided.
The deck mount plate for the Deck Mount Fastlane and the wall mounting bracket for the Wall Mount Fastlane both include a lug or bolt that must be used to bond the Fastlane Swim Unit
to the bonding circuit of your pool. This is a code requirement that should be met by pool ladders, diving
boards and the Fastlane.
